چکیده

Cross-bidding is a new strategy used in online auctions. The bidder simultaneously monitors several identical auctions, taking advantage of their price differential. We examined the determinants and outcomes of cross-bidding behavior and the contingent factors that shape it. Using empirical data, we demonstrated that cross-bidders can realize significant price discounts compared to non-cross-bidders; the number of experienced bidders in an auction market contributes to more cross-bidding; and this effect is positively moderated by market liquidity of the product being auctioned. 2010 Elsevier B.V. On Optimal Bidding in Concurrent Auctions

Online auctions have become a popular and effective tool for Internet-based E-markets. We investigate problems and models of optimal adaptive automated bidding in an environment of concurrent online auctions, where multiple auctions for identical items are running simultaneously. We develop new models for a firm where its item valuation derives from the sale of the acquired items via their dema...

Autonomous Bidding Agents in the Trading Agents Competition

Using methods from approximate dynamic programming and integer programming, we design algorithms for optimally bidding for a single i...

The problem of bidding in sequential auctions is formulated as an M...
